Editorial Magazine Spreads
My process began with reading the short fictional story, The Sincerity—The Lily by Myrna Davis. The concept was to come up with three solutions for a spread, each targeting a different audience—conservative, sophisticated, and hip teen. First, I started by finding lilies to use for conservative and sophisticated spreads. I then used the same color scheme for each spread so everything would be consistent throughout even though it was for different audiences. I wanted to use a symbolic representation to represent the story without giving away the whole story before reading it.
